About Us

LRC are a specialist debt recovery legal practice based in Nottingham with a nationwide client base.

We were established in 2002, having formed via a management buy-out from an international law firm.

LRC was one of the first debt recovery companies to gain Alternative Business Structure (ABS) status  by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in October 2015, enabling us to operate as a legal practice and conduct litigation.

We provide a complete and cost effective service which includes pre-legal collections, litigation, judgment, enforcement and insolvency actions as well as ancillary services associated with debt recovery including credit control and tracing.

We are members of the Credit Services Association (CSA), which is the UK’s debt recovery industry’s trade association.  LRC’s adherence to the CSA’s code of practice ensures quality and professionalism in the services we provide.

We are client focused and committed to delivering high quality services and since 2010,have had ISO 9001:2008 accreditation.

We are accredited with ISO 27001:2013, the international information security standard.

Operations and Client Services Director

Rachel is a founder director of LRC and is responsible for driving the debt recovery strategies through to ensure high level performance is delivered to clients as well as managing the recoveries team. Rachel is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) and has over 25 years’ experience in the debt recovery industry.

Claire is a founder director of LRC and is responsible for the Compliance, IT, HR & Admin functions within the business. Claire is an associate member of CILEx and the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM). Claire has over 25 years’ experience in the debt recovery industry.

Finance Director and Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA)

Tracey heads up our finance department and since LRC became a legal practice has taken on the role of Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA), taking responsibility for compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules. Tracey is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales having qualified in 1992.

Head of Litigation and Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP)

Rachael is our Head of Litigation and Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) with overall responsibility for ensuring that LRC works in a manner compliant with the Solicitors Regulatory Authority. Rachael qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2006 and has over 10 years’ experience as a litigation lawyer.

Andrea provides assistance to our Operations Director with managing client relationships and service levels, with a real focus on commerciality and strategic decisions to ensure maximum ROI. Andrea has over 20 years’ experience in managing client relationships in a variety of roles comprising, client retention, account management and new business.

Compliance and Audit Officer

Clair undertakes case audits and call listening to ensure that core standards are maintained. Clair also provides support and assistance to Claire Stocks with other regulatory compliance projects and internal training requirements.

Legal Recoveries Team

Our team have years of collective experience in delivering high quality work in all matters relating to debt collection. We have several team members who may work on your case. Regardless of who works on your case they will be either supervised by Rachel Rowbotham or Rachael Ward.

Our team have handled several thousand cases since LRC started trading in 2002. All of our team are required to pass an annual compliance test which is set by the Credit Services Association, our trade body.
