Our trade body “The Credit Services Association” has just issued new guidance. Please click on the link to read the full details.
Following this, we have made the decision to recommence sending Letters before Claim. We are adding some additional wording to the letter to say “If you have been affected by Covid-19 it is important that you make contact with us so that we can take this into account”.
The letters will continue to give the customers 30 days within which to respond, failing which we can then proceed as normal to issue Claim Forms.
We will also be recommencing Court action against consumers and sole traders from 15 June 2020. To ensure that we are exercising due forbearance during this current period we are going to be attempting to call the debtors prior to issuing Claim Forms.
Please get in touch with us if you want to discuss this further firstname.lastname@example.org
If you or your teams are still currently working, we would greatly appreciate it if you get time to go through your outstanding instructions on workflow. If the next course of action is to proceed with a Letter before Claim or Claim Form, you can still instruct us to do this. You can still instruct us to instruct the High Court Enforcement Agents if we already have judgment as although they can not currently make visits they are running an office-based collection service.
We will endeavour to keep you updated with any significant changes. Please do not hesitate to contact client services with any concerns or questions.
When emailing the office, please use the team email addresses rather than (or as well as) individual ones, just to ensure that your email gets dealt with swiftly if the member of staff you are emailing is not available.
