Issuing Court Proceedings
Sometimes it’s not possible to reach a quick and satisfactory resolution through Pre-Legal activities; in which case you may consider court proceedings as the most appropriate way of securing payment of an outstanding debt.
Our experienced legal teams will handle all court applications, documents and procedures on your behalf. No attendance from you is required (unless the case becomes defended and a hearing is set) and LRC will manage all the required paperwork for you.
Where possible we issue court proceedings via the CPC (Claims Production Centre) to ensure Claim Forms are issued promptly and at a reduced fee (currently £10 off the usual Court fee) and where we do so, any savings are passed directly back to you.
LRC charge fixed Court fees, as set by the Courts, which along with fixed costs, are recoverable from your debtor. Where appropriate, we will also seek to recover interest charges on your behalf, so not only do you have a potential nil cost exercise when initiating Court costs against a debtor, you can also potentially recover more than the original debt (assuming the debtor pays the entire amount outstanding).
As with all the services offered by LRC, any work we undertake and results we achieve, can be viewed by you on a case by case basis, anytime, anywhere, via our Online Debt Recovery System. This service is free of charge to all our clients - select the ‘Online System’ link in the menu to learn more.
Our alliance with Young & Pearce Solicitors, a long established Nottingham based firm, ensures a seamless and efficient service for issuing court proceedings, dealing with defended court actions and insolvency matters.
