Letter before action (LBA)

We always recommend that you issue your debtor with a LBA, before proceeding directly to court action.

The LBA clearly details the amount of monies owed by the debtor and gives them formal warning that if payment isn’t received by the date shown, usually within 7 days, then court proceedings may commence. It also makes it clear that any proceedings issued will also include a claim for court fees and costs where applicable. LRC will also look to claim interest on your behalf so you may find that you actually recover more than the original debt.
